FAQs

What is hypnotherapy?

Hypnosis is a natural state of relaxation. Hypnotherapy is the use of that state for the purpose of healing. We all enter the hypnotic state many times each day. All hypnosis is actually ‘auto-hypnosis’, which means that you (the client/subject) allow yourself to relax. As the therapist, I’m simply the cosmic guide who will help you to navigate to where your Higher Self is guiding you.

What if I can’t be hypnotised?

Everybody is capable of relaxation, otherwise we'd never go to sleep. If you trust the therapist and want the session to work, it will. The only people who can't be hypnotised are those who don't want to engage or whose motivations aren't conducive to the session. I will say that those who are traditionally more analytical and left-brained (for example, doctors, lawyers, accountants, police officers) often find it harder to relax than those who are more creative and right-brained (e.g carers, artists, actors, nurses). I'm very used to people saying ‘I don't think you can hypnotise me', but often, they are the people who relax the fastest.

I don’t have any spiritual beliefs. Will I still benefit from a hypnotherapy session?

All the work I facilitate is non-denominational and requires only an open mind. Any insights come from your mind and consciousness, not mine. Your human beliefs are irrelevant for the purposes of regression therapy. Some of the most interesting sessions I’ve ever had have been with confirmed skeptics; but only those who were curious enough to be open to the process. If you’re firmly committed to believing that there is nothing beyond this physical realm, maybe start with therapy that looks at your human life as a starting point.

I feel drawn to working with you, but feel anxious, upset, or angry whenever I think about contacting you. What should I do?

If this is happening, it’s a great sign: it means that there is work to be done and such is bubbling closer to the surface, ready to be ventilated and released. Reassure the voice in your head that everything is going to be OK. Everything we do will be compassionate, gentle, and respectful, at your pace. Informed consent and mutually-respected boundaries are an important cornerstone to my practice.

What will happen during a regression session?

If we are doing an online session, I will send instructions in advance on how to prepare for the Zoom call. I will also ask you to give me an idea about what caused you to book the session and your intentions.

Each session will commence with an informal chat, and together, we can establish a working intention for our time together.

I will ask you to sit or recline into a comfortable position, and set your laptop/phone/tablet somewhere we can hear one another clearly, preferably using a hands-free cable or headphones. When you’re ready, I will gently guide you into a relaxed state using music and my words.

Once you are deeply relaxed, I will communicate clearly with you, asking you to speak out loud about what you might be seeing, hearing, sensing, and imagining. I will take notes during the session so that we can discuss some of the details afterwards.

Once we have finished, I will guide you to come back to a state of being fully alert, and we can then discuss the session in order to make sense of what came up. Healing and integration will take place over the coming days, weeks, months, and even years.

What is an energy clearing?

A clearing session aims to compassionately identify, remove, relocate, and heal attachments and imprints that are linked to your non-physical energy field. Such energies may be discarnate souls (i.e. the conscious spirits or astral fragments of souls whose physical bodies have died). Also common are outdated or imbalanced energy cords between living or non-living souls, which require rebalancing or even cutting completely. I have helped clients discover and heal past life karmic attachments, unresolved inner-child emotions, disintegrated sub-personalities, elemental energies, and even past-life dark magic contracts. There is a considerable amount of astral debris (centuries of energetic litter/garbage) that our human eyes cannot see, which can also attach to our light bodies. Most of us collect these energies unknowingly throughout our lifetimes and are often oblivious to such, despite the physical symptoms which can manifest as a result. Clearing these entities and energies out is like a spring clean for the soul, which can make you feel lighter, more optimistic, and more energetic.

Should I talk to my doctor?

Feel free to speak to your doctor before any session with me. In some cases, I may ask for your doctor’s prior written consent, such as if a client is suffering from suicidal ideation, experiencing self-harm, or suspects any mental health condition where psychosis has been present in the past. I do not treat clients who are suffering from current or recent psychotic episodes. The reason for this isn’t to exclude people who need help: it’s because the treatments I offer are often spiritually-expansive rather than ego-strengthening. Those in psychosis or who have one foot in ‘other worlds’ without being able to switch them off often require grounding back into the 3D Earthly reality due to distress and exhaustion. This is, at present, not my area of expertise. Whilst I aim to be inclusive, I have a duty of care to act responsibly for the best interests of each client, even if such means deferring a session for a short time or referring a potential client on/back to their doctor.

Disclaimer: I’m not a medical doctor and urge you to follow your doctor’s current advice at all times. Nothing I say should be construed as medical advice. If you are suffering from a mental health emergency, please contact your doctor or hospital, and a trusted friend or relative if possible.

How will I know that a session has ‘worked’?

Every person is different. Some feel that a weight has been lifted almost immediately, but the most common reaction is a sense of newfound peace or a desire to move forwards in a new direction that happens within a few weeks. I see sessions as a pivot point for most clients who have been stuck for a while. The session will 'nudge’ you out of your inert state and point you in the right direction. Where you go next is up to you.

Be patient, and keep a journal to see what changes for you. Drink plenty of water, stretch and move your body, and spend time in nature and with animals. Healing isn’t linear. You may need to move, activate, or dissolve something mentally or energetically in order for a change to be possible. Therefore, the healing and/or growth might come from something completely unrelated, many months after a session.

How can I best prepare for the session?

I recommend wearing loose, comfortable clothing. Please do not drink alcohol or take any recreational drugs 48-hours either side of the session, as such can open and disrupt the energy field and lower your vibrational state. Before the session, grab drinking water, tissues, a blanket, charging cable, hands-free phone headphones with a microphone, and notepad and pen if you’d like to journal.

Do you recommend any books?

I love reading non-fiction and can recommend books on many different subjects. If you are interested in learning more about spiritual experiences, reincarnation, and life purpose, these authors and their books are a really great start to expand your awareness:

Journey of Souls - Michael Newton Ph.D.

Destiny of Souls - Michael Newton Ph.D.

Memories of the Afterlife – Michael Newton Ph.D.

Many Lives, Many Masters, - Brian Weiss M.D.

Miracles Happen: The Transformational Healing Power of Past Life Memories - Brian Weiss MD

Dolores Cannon - The New Earth and the Three Waves of Volunteers

A Hypnotist’s Journey to the Secrets of the Sphinx - Sarah Breskman Cosme (plus two other books in her series)

Your Soul’s Plan - Robert Schwarz (plus two other books in this series)

How many sessions will it take?

Conventional therapy often takes many sessions; however, the type of work I do is often fleeting and brief. I aim to help facilitate a resolution in one to two sessions. I generally don’t see clients for more than four sessions in one block. Spiritual hypnotherapy sessions can be booked at your discretion: two sessions a few weeks’ apart is the norm, but for those who want to explore past lives in great detail, the only limit is your interest and budget. If you are quite analytical and left-brained, it can take a few sessions before you actually relax properly enough to feel the benefit.

How can I pay for my session?

All sessions can be paid for by bank transfer or Paypal as per the booking email that I will send to confirm our session.

All sessions are to be paid for prior to the booking.

If you have to cancel or reschedule the session, please give 24-hours’ notice.

If you are on a low income and feel drawn to working with me, I am happy to discuss your situation privately.

I have done hundreds of free sessions over the years, but have consistently found that the absence of an energy exchange leads to ‘free’ clients undervaluing the session and expecting more ‘free’ work down the line. They rarely do the follow-up work too.

Strangely, I have found that those who pay fairly are always the most respectful of the space and committed to doing the work. As a result, they often see the most significant positive changes. I have come to understand that this is because we are both putting our energy into the session, with both of us ‘giving’ and ‘receiving’ in pursuit of something wonderful. If you don’t give something in return for energy work, however small, you’re misunderstanding the golden rule of energy exchange.

There is a pervasive idea that therapists and people involved in the healing & creative arts shouldn’t charge actual money, as if our kindness alone pays the rent and for food shopping. Unfortunately, my bank manager doesn't accept fairy dust to pay all my bills; in this 3D realm, we all need money to survive, and hopefully thrive.

Given the nature of the work and personal life as a mother, I limit myself to one booking on a single day and only work part-time. My fees are less than comparative practitioners in my field, but sufficiently high as to subsidise a number of discounted sessions to those in need.

If you have any questions that aren’t listed here, please feel free to message me.

Thank you. xx
